2018 Nation Doubles – Alaska

The 2018 National Doubles Racquetball Championships will be held in Tempe, Arizona on the campus of Arizona State University February 7-11, 2018

Alaska is going to be Well Represented this year, 13 Alaskans are making the trip South to compete at this US National Doubles Tournament entrants include:

Lonnie Anderson- Juneau, Martin Contreras – Anchorage, Kimo Hansen – Anchorage, Mark Kasberg – Juneau, Cathy Law – Anchorage, Michelle Lekites – Eagle River, Christer Linden – Anchorage, Paul Ly – Anchorage, Terri Marceron – Anchorage, Brad Potter – Anchorage,  Fidencio Rodriguez – Palmer, Jackie Seiffert – Anchorage, and Mike Stassen -Anchorage.

Tournament Update:

2018 US National Doubles Final Results: By my count, it looks like the Alaskan players are bringing home a total of 19 National Medals, What a GREAT! showing, Congratulations to everyone.

2018 Alaska Open

The Alaska Club – East

March 1-4, 2018

The next Racquetball tournament of 2017/18 season will be The “Alaska Open” and will take place March 1-4 at The Alaska Club East, Deadline to enter is Sunday, February 25. This is a Singles Only tournament (Skill & Age) divisions will be offered along with Junior events. Players are permitted to compete in only 1 skill (A, B, C, Ect) and 1 age event.

Juniors play for FREE as long as one parent is playing. Just as a reminder, 1st round matches can start as early as 5:30 pm Thursday, You may list a one time conflict on your entry form and we will do our best to accommodate. If we cannot schedule around your conflict, you will be notified prior to draw completion.

2018 Alaska State Doubles

The 2018 Alaska State Doubles sponsored by Scotts Plumbing and Heating (Thank You Scott Pillans) & Penn Balls (Official ball of USA Racquetball) will take place at the Alaska Club East January 11-14,2018 We will be using the Penn HD Purple ball for both Alaska State Tournaments, Divisions will be offered to Women, Men, and Juniors of all SKILL Levels from Novice to Open along with Age events, Mixed Doubles will also be offered, Players are allowed to enter 1 Skill, 1 Age & 1 Mixed division for a total of 3 (The 3rd Event MUST be Mixed Doubles) if competing in three events PLEASE no time conflicts. Custom T-Shirts made by (Josh Wood) will be given to the first 40 people who sign up “Officially” from the LINK Below

Entry deadline: Sunday, January 6 @ 6pm. No team will be entered unless entries are received from both team members.

All tournament participants will be required to pay a $15 AARA membership fee. If you are a current USA Racquetball (USAR) member then you will not need to pay another membership fee. Anyone in need of a partner in any division PLEASE Contact me ASAP and I’ll try to team you up with someone.

You may list one time conflict and we will do our best to accommodate. If we cannot schedule around your conflict, you will be notified prior to draw completion. If you DO-NOT list a conflict on your application, NO CHANGES will be made after the draw has been posted THANK YOU for your support.
