2008 Fall Kick-Off
While here we go again!. The 2008/09 Alaska Racquetball season gets underway with the 2008 Fall Kick-Off September 4-7 at The Alaska Club Midtown, This is going to be a GREAT opening to our season with the appearance of CLIFF SWAIN a 6 time IRT #1 Player of the year, Cliff is looking forward to his first visit to Alaska and plans to spend a lot of time at the club getting to meet you. Both Singles and Doubles events will be offered for both Adults and Juniors, Players are allowed to enter 1 Skill & 1 Age or Doubles event (2 Total) Players can enter MIXED DOUBLES ONLY as a 3rd event. Entry Fees: $25 members, $30 non-members for the first event; $8 for the second/third event. Juniors $15 for the first event. Juniors must play in a Junior division as their first event to receive this special price. This is an Alaska Amature Racquetball Association (AARA) sanctioned event and all players must be current members, A $15 annual fee will be collected at the tournament desk. Entry deadline is Sunday, August 31.
UPDATE
Men’s B and Men’s B/C age group did not have enough entries to go. Open players may also notice that the match times on Saturday are all scheduled EARLY. This was done to accommodate all the folks who plan on attending the Don Dobson “Celebration of Life” services at O’Mallys on the Green. Don lost his battle with cancer last Monday and will be missed by many.
