2007 Rippin’ Round The Christmas Tree
The 2007 Rippin’ Round The Christmas Tree will be held at The Alaska Club Midtown December 13-16. Rhonda Rajsich the #1 Women Player in the World will be on hand at the tournament and will even be taking on a couple of Alaska’s best in both singles and Doubles with partner Michelle Earl. With close to 80 players competing in up to 3 events there will be plenty of good matches to view.

Tournament Recap
Anchorage Racquetball players were given a special treat during the tournament as current WPRO #1 Ranked Woman / current World Champion Rhonda Rajsich teamed up with Michelle Earl (Anchorage) who herself is currently ranked 19th on the Women’s Pro tour compete in the Men’s Open Doubles. In the 1st round Rhonda and Michelle defeated Tom Hood & Warren Baily 15-14, 15-4, In the semi-finals, they ran into current #3 Alaska ranked team of Brandon Cuaresma & Keith Boice where they were defeated in an 11-8 tiebreaker. In the 3rd place match the #2 Seeded team of Telon Bremont & Robbie Gunther had to fight back from a 1st game loss (15-9) and being down 14-12 in game 2 to take the win over the Pro’s 11-5 in the tiebreaker. Over the years we have been very fortunate to have had a lot of the TOP PRO’s compete in our State and now we can add Rhonda to that list. Thanks for coming to Alaska in the middle of Winter Rhonda, your level of play was amazing to watch and I can almost say for certain that you leave us with a whole bunch of new FANS. RHONDA ROCKS!!
